This past Wednesday we received our new office chairs! Not just any old office chairs… They are Flash Furniture's ergonomic, height adjustable desk chairs. Mesh supporting your back to keep you cool in the upcoming Texas hot summer, and armrests that feel just right at the perfect height. A thank you to Amazon shipping for bringing them into the building right where they will be built!

BYOTB continues! Late last week we took it into the Shed with a drill press. Our FEZiBO electric stand up desk only have right sided mechanics. So we have to DIY the left sided desk, a big thank you to those who granted us access to your tools to help us finish these desks!

The Renovation and Addition done to this building has turned out amazing. Floor to ceiling windows to welcome in as much natural sun as possible. Soon this space will be filled with both Broadstone Designers and ELD Engineers collaborating daily on new projects.

BYOTB (Bring Your Own Tool Box) is in full swing these next two weeks here at the new office! BSDG and the IT Team are now Certified Pros at building our FEZiBO L-Shaped Standing Desk. The first floor is slowly but surely filling up with the right sided desk, now time to start drilling the legs for the left sided desk

Red Brick, Black Steel, wood panel siding, beautiful floor to ceiling windows that mirror the blue gray skies and the somewhat busy streets of Forney, dress the exterior of our new building. All we are missing is our parent company's Eric L. Davis Engineering logo in the front and it will feel like home.

BSDG Architectural Drawings

Rolled up in our office, in above head shelves, nestled beside one another in bins, or even spread out on empty tables. We print them out of our large format printer to get a literal hands-on, on the project even when it’s still in the design stage. Doing this allows us to spot possible mistakes in the design, and make effortless adjustments when meeting with a client to discuss the plans. Using a good ‘ol pen or pencil to make notes on the plans as well, allow clear communication between Broadstone and our clients.

Commercial Project Feature: Fate Mix-Use

This is a 19,446 Square Foot project with Retail Space plus two ADA-compliant units on the first-floor residential project. The above floors consist of 16 additional residential units. Designed with mixed material of stone, brick, and black steel, the fate brings elegance and useability to its occupants.

On Tuesday we had a meeting with Connectrac Dallas to discuss how cable management will be executed in our soon-to-be new building. With great cable management, efficient workflow will follow! Not only for the BSDG team but for the ELD Engineering Departments as well👍
