Pictured is Norfolk Southern train 11V climbing up the East slope through Gallitzin, Pennsylvania on October 6, 2023. The train is led by NS 1800, the first SD70ACC rebuild originally built in 1994 as EMD SD70 #2537. NS 1800 was rebuilt by Progress Rail’s facility in Muncie, Indiana then repainted not far from the image location in Altoona, Pennsylvania.

Norfolk Southern train 633 made a daylight move out of Baltimore this morning. I was able to capture it under the old signal bridge in Port Deposit, MD just after noon today.

Norfolk and Western 611 crosses Yellow Breeches Creek in Boiling Springs, PA behind a NS locomotive. The consist left Roanoke, VA on Monday morning, but numerous delays have plagued the low-priority movement.
