The Core Shapers team was honored to join Bishop State Community College & the Gene Haas Foundation this week for the Grand Opening of their beautiful new Advanced Manufacturing training center here in south Alabama just across the bay in Mobile.

Congratulations to the local communities for having CNC machining training so close to home! This technology touches every aspect of our lives. Look around, every product that you see & use depends on CNC machines. We need skilled operators to program and run this equipment, now there's a local source for training in a World Class facility.

Hump day...maybe...www.coreshapers.com will say that this beautiful was produced from 2 pcf ELFOAM Rigid Polyiso Core from our friends at Elliott Company. The spherical core was machined to a profile of 0.002".

An Airex C71.75 customer ask if www.coreshapers.com could machine a 5-Axis pocket at a shallow and deep depth of cut. Of course we can...and did. What can Core Shapers do for you?

The main curved surface was machined in a swept motion using a simultaneous 5-Axis CNC cut to ensure a perfect surface finish in an efficient time frame. The pockets are completed all perfectly normal to the irregular surface to demonstrate the perfect depth of cut and perpendicularity to the 3-D surface. The main surface is approximately 30 degrees to the horizontal base.

This week on the www.coreshapers.com dock is some 3A Composites Core Materials AIREX C71.75 high temperature closed-cell, cross-linked rigid foam. Soon this material will be used in very high end communications products.

HF is a great product for applications requiring low dielectric constants for antennas, radomes, and other high frequency applications.
