We've made it to Friday, so let's celebrate with a post!
Last night, recently retired lieutenant of the Foley Police Department, Glenn Hartenstein, received a letter of commendation by the Baldwin County Board of Education for his service to the Foley community and schools.
After 19 years of service to this community, and his last year as commander of the Community Safety Division, the school system felt it was important to recognize our retiree for his “commitment, leadership, and the lasting impact he made on the community."
Way to go, Glenn! We're proud of the work you put into serving Foley!

Yesterday, Corporal Cruze visited the public safety classes at Foley High to talk about being a part of the SWAT team!
He explained the gear utilized by the team, as well as some of the processes that go into situations where SWAT is requested.
After speaking to the class, it appears we might have some future SWAT members walking through the halls!

The Foley Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 15-year-old who was reported missing on Friday, August 14th.
Jakarah Murray was last seen on August 11th. She is known to frequent the Foley and Pensacola area.

The Foley Police Department would like to share a familiar face that is now in Foley High! Please give a warm welcome to the new Public Safety instructor, former Chief of Police and Public Safety Director for the city of Foley, David Wilson!
Mr. Wilson is excited to begin this new chapter in a program he helped create and is looking forward to sharing his experiences, knowledge, and passion for a profession he has cherished for so many years.
