We are all truly grateful for the freedoms we enjoy in our great country because of the brave men and women represented by our flag.

National Flag Day is observed on June 14th, which is Sunday this year. The holiday commemorates the date in 1777 when the United States approved the design for its first National Flag. 🇺🇸

We thank God for each and everyone who has fought to defend the freedoms that this Flag represents. 🇺🇸

Happy birthday today to our pod-casting, staff-leading IPS agent Tyler Wiltshire. Tyler is also husband to Dr. Abbie Wiltshire and father to two daughters, Mary Tyler and Olivia. He enjoys hunting, fishing, playing golf, and attending Ole Miss football games. Tyler is a member and serves on the Board of Directors of the Rankin County Chamber of Commerce and National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors where he serves on the state board. He also serves on the steering committee for Best Dressed Jackson, which benefits the American Cancer society, and has been named to the Top 40 Under 40 in Rankin County.

Last week our Facebook friends voted to award the Gabby Strong Foundation $500 from IPS. The voting was close and supporters were so consistent that we have decided to also award a second place of $250 to Our Daily Bread in Canton. Congratulations to Gabby Strong Foundation and Our Daily Bread!

Look at those faces.

Many of those young men climbing into landing craft on June 6, 1944, would never see another sunrise. Historians estimate that casualties among the first waves were devastating, with entire units suffering horrific losses as they hit the beaches of Normandy.

Some of them never made it to 18 years old.

They never cast a vote.

They never fell in love, got married, raised children, bought a home, or grew old surrounded by grandchildren.

Think about that.

Everything we enjoy today—the freedom to speak our minds, worship as we choose, raise our families, and pursue our dreams—was purchased with a price they willingly paid.

They stepped off those boats into machine-gun fire knowing death was a real possibility. Yet they went anyway. Not for fame. Not for recognition. Not for themselves.

They went because freedom was worth fighting for.

Today, on the anniversary of D-Day, take a moment to remember the young Americans who never came home. They gave up their entire future so that we could have ours.

May we never forget their sacrifice, and may we always strive to be worthy of it.

Freedom is not free.
It was paid for by heroes who never got the chance to grow old.

On Memorial Day, we honor the brave people who have given everything to make our country a better place.

We remember them, their lives, and the sacrifices they made. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication of our service members and their families.

Let us all honor them this Memorial Day.

Our Flowood office is closed today in honor of those who are now a memory, but our clients can always use your IPS app or contact your agent directly if you have a holiday emergency

Congratulations to Hailey Hinton with Clark Beverage Group. Hailey referred a friend to her IPS agent Marcy Ellis and was named our Referral Partner of the Month for May. Hailey chose Shower Power MS to receive $100 in her name from IPS. This is just the latest donation our agency has made to Shower Power, a ministry for the homeless in downtown Jackson.
