🚨The cadets are hosting a open house at the town of Fishkill police station on Friday April 10 from 3pm to 6pm , stop by to meet the cadets, ask questions and learn about the program and what it’s about

March 25th is National Medal of Honor Day, which recognizes and commemorates the valor and sacrifice of its 3,533 recipients. Among this distinguished group of courageous warriors is Corporal Elijah A. Briggs, a Civil War veteran who received the Medal of Honor on April 3, 1865. Corporal Briggs was interred at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.

On 24 March 1999, American-led NATO forces launched Operation Allied Force against Serbia. We honor the memory of U.S. servicemembers who liberated Kosovo and played a crucial role in mitigating the largest humanitarian crisis in Europe since the Second World War. 🙏🇺🇸

The participation of women in military service is a fundamentally American narrative. Since the American Revolution to the present day, women have played a vital role in national defense. Whether serving in support capacities or leadership positions, women have consistently demonstrated their ability to defend the nation throughout history. As we commemorate Women's History Month, we honor and celebrate the sacrifices and contributions of our female servicemembers and veterans who have fought for our freedoms. 🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸

The sacrifices of the six servicemembers who gave their lives in support of Operation Epic Fury inspire a nation. As veterans, we grasp the profound call to duty and the unwavering commitment that demands sacrifice. Our hearts and minds are with the families of the fallen, and we stand united with our servicemembers, praying for their safety and triumph.

On behalf of Fishkill veterans, we would like to pay tribute to the life of Peter Berg, a dedicated U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam (1968-1969), by expressing our deepest gratitude for his selfless service and our profound sorrow for his passing. Peter “Pete” embodied the spirit of patriotism, radiating love for our nation and fervently supporting our military and veterans. His unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand and be a guiding light for those in need was truly inspiring. We will deeply miss his invaluable contributions and unshakeable commitment to getting things done.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his loving wife and family during this challenging time.

As we observe Black History Month this February, we pay tribute to the unrelenting commitment and fortitude of African American servicemembers who have valiantly fought for America's liberty and defended the world against oppression over the past 250 years, surmounting significant challenges to forge a more perfect union. 🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸

International Holocaust Remembrance Day marks a significant milestone, 81 years since Allied forces liberated Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest N**i concentration camp during World War II, on January 27, 1945. Today, we honor the memory of six million Jews and millions of other victims who endured unimaginable hardships during one of humanity's darkest periods.

We pay tribute to the millions of American servicemembers, particularly the 250,000 fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in Europe, and the American soldiers who liberated numerous concentration camps, including Dachau, Mauthausen, and Buchenwald, their bravery and selflessness inspiring hope and resilience in the face of adversity.
