This Sunday the Fishers Freight plays their last home game of the season at the Fishers Event Center against the Orlando Pirates and, it’s Fan Appreciation Night!
You can expect high-scoring, hard hits against the wall, constant entertainment, and fun for the whole family!
The team is also partnering with Brightlane Learning to pack backpacks with school supplies for students in need. Those interested in donating new school supplies can drop them off at the fan fest before the game, and they will get a free Dixie Wooten bobblehead.
The plaza will open at 2:30 p.m. for food and fun, and kickoff is at 4 p.m.
If the Freight wins their final game of the season, they will clinch an Indoor Football League playoff spot
The temps the rest of the week make this the perfect outing.
There is so much to do here and something seasonal is the free U-Pick program. You can come to the Fishers AgriPark and pick free produce and flowers.
They also have a playground, animals and more. It’s kind of a hidden gem in Fishers and definitely worth checking out with the family if you haven’t been before.

I would load up the family and depending on their ages, scooters and strollers, and go park the car in a garage near the Nickel Plate Amphitheater.
Then we would get on the Nickel Plate Trail at 116th street, near the swings, and head south. Put King Jugg in your phone so you can end up there. (It’s not directly off the trail and you have to cut through a neighborhood.)
Sit outside at King Jugg and let the kids play while you wait for your dinner and huge bonus, kids eat free tonight!
Then get back on the trail and head back to your car so you can grab chairs and blankets and make your way to the Nickel Plate Amphitheater for a Free Tuesday Concert.
This is fun for all ages, won’t break the bank, and if you do this on a Tuesday night let me know how it goes.
