Waiting for Rates to hit 5.5%?
Here's what happened while you waited: In 2022 you could have purchased a $380K property @ 6.5% for $2,401/Month. That same property 2024 would have cost you $445K @ 6.8% for $2,889/Month. Waiting 2 years increased your payment $488/Month + you lost 24 Months of equity for a Total Loss of $67,000. The Fed minimally dropped their fed funds rate 1/4% this week. Last time they dropped their rate Mortgage Rates actually went up. PLEASE stop reading the lagging news/data and call an expert who is in the real estate market every single day. You may not like what I tell but what I do share will be factual. There's no magic in this market and waiting may not pan out the way you planned. Prices have softenend this Holiday season while rates are still hovering around statistical lows. Yes, read that again. First things first. Call or text.
