Indiana's premier waterfront race features 4 race distances: the iconic half marathon, 10K, and family-friendly 5K and 1 Mile Race! St.Vincent Geist Half Marathon is excited to have the opportunity to work with area schools again this year to promote this fun and healthy event to children. The St.Vincent Geist Half Marathon school program, and the far reaching benefits it brought to the over 1,500 youth who participated, is an aspect of last year’s event that we are most proud of. We are working to expand upon this success so as to continue to support the Foundations efforts to combat the growing problem of childhood obesity.
Three weeks later, and we’re still smiling about race day. 🏃♀️🏅
This year’s Geist Race Series brought runners of all ages to the course — including plenty of big finishes in the 1-Mile. Whether it was a first race, a family run or another finish line crossed, the 1-Mile proved you don’t need 13.1 miles to make a race-day memory.
A special thank you to our HSE student extern, Drew Kaplan, for helping capture the people and moments that made the day so memorable. 🏁

Congratulations to the Indiana Army National Guard for winning this year’s Water Stop Showdown at the Geist Race Series!
Their team brought the energy, encouragement and race-day spirit to the course, helping keep runners hydrated and motivated every step of the way.

Thank you to our Emergency Operations Center team for working behind the scenes during the Geist Race Series to monitor conditions, coordinate communication and support participant safety.

[6:10 A.M.] WEATHER WATCH: We’re watching the weather closely. Current forecasts show lightning and significant rainfall moving out of the area soon.
Race organizers and City officials are continuing to monitor conditions and follow established safety protocols. As of now, the race will move ahead as scheduled.
Any updates to start times or other race-day expectations will be shared through our social media channels on Instagram, Facebook and X.

We’re watching the weather for race day. Current forecasts call for potential rain, high humidity and high temps, and the Geist Race Series is a rain-or-shine event.
Participants should hydrate early, watch for the flag system along the route and follow guidance from course marshals.
Runners and cheer squads are encouraged to follow Geist Half Marathon on Facebook, Instagram and X for updates before and during the race.
Stay cool, stay aware and take care of yourself and the runners around you. 🏁

This year’s Geist Race Series After-Party will feature local favorites including MashCraft Fishers, Athletic Brewing Company, Java House, Pure Green, Ghost Mobile Kitchen and Eiffel Waffle.
Run the race. Stay for the food, drinks and post-race celebration.
