Filer Rural Fire

America 250. We are happy to celebrate with the rest of the country. We hope you enjoy this illuminated 250 display in our front yard. You are welcome to stop by and take photos with your friends and family if you wish!

Filer Rural Fire will be shooting the 4th July fireworks off from our back parking area. The best viewing areas will be from the normal grass parking lots in the fair park. If you plan on watching the fireworks from a distance (outside the fair park) you will miss the best part of the display. This shoot was professionally designed for Filer! We are excited to be a part of the celebration!

Drill Night! Last night of extraction training. Vehicle stabilization, patient care, right tool right job and experimented. Always learning something new when we train. Even had a little competition between the speed of battery operated cutters and a sawzall. And of course we had to all load up in the van for the family picture. Always fun with this group.

Thursday drill night. Extrication training. Trying different techniques with various types of tools to see which ones work the best and our the safest. A lot of great take aways from the training. These firefighters are just so good at being committed to this community and improving their skills. Over the last several weeks we have been pretty busy, three brush fires one of them 90+ acres the other 50+. Top that off with a house fire on Memorial Day. No injuries noted on any of them. We are expecting a busy summer. Please be safe out there and only burn on calm days, make sure you have a water source to control and extinguish what your burning

International Firefighters' Day (IFFD) is on Monday, May 4, 2026. It is a global day of recognition dedicated to honoring the courage, dedication, and sacrifices firefighters make to protect communities and lives. The day focuses on remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice and thanking active-duty heroes for their bravery. 🖤❤️🖤

Filer Rural is happy to be able to pay it forward with a surplussed ambulance to Glenns Ferry Fire Department. Chief Derik and Captain Kevin came down and picked it up this morning. We are excited to see that it will remain in service and meet the needs of their community.
