Central Electric Power Cooperative is currently accepting applications for the position of Journeyman or Apprentice Lineman.

This position will require work in inclement weather conditions. This position will require the individual to conduct a full range of transmission line and substation construction and maintenance.

Qualifications:
Individuals interested in this position should have a minimum of an Associates Degree in Industrial Electricity, Electrical Distribution Systems or Electronics with experience in power systems or electrical operations.

Responsibilities include:
The successful candidate will be required to reside within 30 minutes of Central’s reporting location, obtain and maintain a class A commercial driver’s license, and pass a DOT physical and drug and alcohol screening. Individuals applying for this position must be able to respond to outage-related work outside normal hours, climb wood and steel structures, and work at heights.

Benefits:
Central provides a 401K savings investment plan, voluntary 125 cafeteria plan, life insurance and medical plan including vision and dental. Central also offers 11 paid holidays a year, vacation and sick leave.

Hourly wage range is $37.16 - $53.09. Interested individuals should submit a resume by September 4, 2026.
