I enjoy volunteering and I practically live to create art, so it only makes sense to share it with my neighbors.

I hope to create public art in little "Bright Spots" all over Federal Way. These art projects will be completed for only the cost of materials

I've been so busy that I haven't been posting anything. The mural inside Forest House at PowellsWood Garden is moving along. Lynnette has been helping transfer images onto the wall while I continue painting.

Exciting news! The mural painting project inside Forest House at PowellsWood Garden has started. The painted ceiling panels have been installed. Stop by The Children's Garden and see the 🎨🖌️work in progress.

I'm excited to announce that beginning next week, I will be starting to paint the ceiling panels like the sky for The Children's area at PowellsWood Garden. I'll be working on these loose panels at home, but when they are complete, I will begin painting the interior walls at the garden and can use some volunteers. I'll create a volunteer sign up sheet (& tag those who have already asked to be involved) when I have a better idea of my needs in about a week. Thanks everyone for your support with creating public murals in Federal Way! ❤️🎨🖌️

I recently became obsessed with wood burning and produced two gifts. One is the restaurant logo for Weedline Grill in Jensen Beach, Florida, a business owned and managed by my stepdaughter and her fiancé. I also burned an image of my friend's dog onto a wooden box.

I am so happy to have received volunteer inquiries to support Bright Spot and its various projects. I am currently compiling a list of volunteers to create a sign-up post with scheduled dates and times for mural painting. The PowellsWood Garden mural is planned to begin mid to late February. If you'd like to be involved please comment.

Exciting news! Bright Spot will be collaborating with PowellsWood Garden in their new Children's Garden and education area. I will be painting a vivid garden mural on the interior walls and ceiling of the small outbuilding located in the Children's Garden. The building will contain information about the garden, a scavenger hunt and more. Mural painting will begin mid February and I hope to have it completed in April.

This is currently the only public art mural on a building in Federal Way. It is located behind Fusion and Poverty Bay Cafe. The mural is both fading and damaged and may need to be removed. I'm in the process of reaching the correct people to try and restore or replace this mural before it's removed.
