There is now 3 of us! Oh what a journey this first week of parenthood has been for us, and how important it is to be supportive of one another as spouses, as this life transition takes place. During this time, like none other before in our relationship we have both worked to give each other as much grace as possible in everything. This means that as a wife, I opened myself to not get offended when my husband gives me advice on how to feed or change the baby, and not only to consider it but try it and see. This has been so freeing for me, I wonder why I haven’t tried it before we had our baby. I guess God is giving us extra grace during this period and has softened our hearts to be more gentle with each other in all that we say and do- and I’m telling you, it is so beautiful! | pc .photo.by.irina

It has been a life changing season for us a couple. Getting pregnant with our first child and going through each week and month has been an incredible journey and we are now only 1.5 weeks away from our due date! We are also planning our first pre-marital boot camp day for our church - a huge change from the way we ran it last year, doing weekly classes! We are so excited to be planning this impactful day- for March 24th 2018 in Federal Way! We will be posting the sign up link soon! ☺️

We just finished reading this great book by . With only 7 chapters and straight to the point biblical and personal insights into marriage, this would be a great read for married couples before Valentine’s Day. Sweeten up your relationship for the long run, not just the day!

As a Christian you don’t ACHIEVE your identity, you receive it from Christ. Your identity is “child of Christ”. You can’t fail at that. You can fail in your career, in your goals, in your abilities, but you can’t fail in being a child of God. He adores & esteems you! As a child of Christ you don’t need to say yes to your addictions or sins, you can say yes to Living Holy like your father in Heaven!

What are you thankful for in your spouse? I️ am so extremely thankful for the iron sharpens iron effect marriage has on us. My husbands wisdom and guidance and feedback has been so crucial to my growth as a Christian, I️ would be much more behind in my character development without the constant mirror my husband has been. I’m so thankful that he corrects me with gentleness and that his strong and steadfast faith leads our family. Thank you Jesus! ❤️ |

A cord of three strands is not easily broken. Ecc. 4:12. Is your married interwoven with Christ? This math equation will never stop working, your spouse + you + Jesus as your savior & rock = not easily broken.
