The annual community yard sale date is upon us! Saturday, Aug. 26. Signs will be posted at entry to our community. Time to clear your homes of unwanted treasures. Hope for a great turn out.

Reminders - The Madrona Meadows HOA Annual Meeting is tonight at 7:00 PM at the Federal Way Library on 1st Ave. Hope to see you there.

It has been noticed by several of our neighbors that suspicious activities have been witnessed. It is suspected that drugs have been sold from vehicles, RV's and some homes in our community. We have notified police and they are aware of our concerns. Unfortunately, they need cause to pursue action. I suggest we call at every opportunity to report suspicious behavior, activity, or vehicles in the community. More complaints will place a greater sense of urgency to the matter. I personally have questioned several suspicious vehicles in the area, not recommended, to let the people know they have witnesses. Photos of vehicles, taken discretely, will assist in tracking. Try to include license plate. Thank you for your attention!

Don't forget the Madrona Meadows Garage Sale this coming Saturday, August 6th. We have advertised for 9am - 3 pm. Good luck!

ALERT - A vehicle was stolen from 13th Ave. SW between 10:30 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. on September 2nd. Please be aware of people in the neighborhood, especially at night and report to the police. The best way to prevent yourself form being a victim of a vehicle break-in or theft is to make sure nothing is visible in your vehicle and keep it locked at all times. Stay safe!!

Here is a reminder about which lanes are required to stop when that school bus stop-sign starts flashing. Help keep our students safe!

Setting off fireworks in Federal Way is illegal - Federal Way Mirror The Federal Way Police Department and South King Fire and Rescue wants to remind residents that fireworks are illegal within the city limits of Federal Way.

Please be careful with your smoking materials......this cigarette caused fire was noticed by a citizen before it burnt very much but every large fire starts small.
