The Fargo AMVETS, Ladies Auxiliary of Fargo AMVETS, Sons of AMVETS Fargo and Amvets Riders Chapter 7 Fargo ND came together this morning to walk in honor of those we’ve lost and those who are still fighting.

Thank you to Heroes Compass for organizing this walk each year and bringing our community together for such an important cause.

Together, we can make sure no one feels like they have to walk alone 🇺🇸♥️

On September 11, 2001, our nation was forever changed.

Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice, and the countless families and communities forever changed.

We remember their courage.
We remember their sacrifice.
We remember the unity that followed.

25 years later, we still remember. We will never forget 🇺🇸

Heroes Compass is giving up to 15 local veterans a FREE tandem skydive as a small way to thank them for their service. Skydive Fargo will be hosting the event on September 12th.

This month, we remember that behind every uniform is a person, and behind every person is a story.

Veterans and those living with PTSD may carry battles long after they leave the battlefield. Sometimes the hardest battles are the ones nobody can see.

Let’s check on our brothers and sisters. Ask the question. Listen without judgment. Remind them that they are not alone and that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
