Pretty cool moment this weekend 🌱

While I was set up for Blue Goose Days at the Chahinkapa Zoo in Wahpeton, my parents were holding down the Detroit Lakes Farmers Market.

A few years ago, Red River Microgreens was just an idea and a couple trays in a spare room. Being able to serve multiple communities at the same time is something I definitely do not take for granted.

Huge thank you to my mom and dad for helping make that possible this summer! Their support behind the scenes and at events has helped this little farm grow more than most people realize.

Grateful for everyone who stops by a booth, samples some greens, signs up for delivery, or simply cheers us on.

Local food is a team effort 🌱

One of my favorite things about microgreens is how ridiculously versatile they are 🌱

Sandwiches, salads, wraps, grain bowls, and of course toast!

This one has hummus, everything bagel seasoning, smoked paprika, olive oil, salt, pepper, and a pile of Micro Medley on top. Hard boiled eggs on the side because I can never resist 🄚

Microgreens make it easy to add a fresh local burst of flavor to everyday meals without changing your whole routine.

We make it even easier by keeping people stocked through weekly and biweekly farm share delivery and pickup, with fresh indoor grown greens available year round right here in Fargo Moorhead.

Tiny greens. BIG impact 🌱

Really grateful for everyone who was part of our first year of the farm share, whether you got delivery every week or picked up a single order at Sliced Bakeshop 🌱

Building a year round system for fresh local food has been a huge goal. It has been amazing hearing how getting microgreens delivered has made it easier and sometimes even possible for people to keep fresh, locally grown vegetables in their lives, even when the snow is flying.

That is what this is all about.

Closing the gap and making local food more accessible
Building something that nourishes our community year round in Fargo Moorhead

Now we are heading into market season and expanding even more with delivery, pickup, retail presence, and markets all working together.

Local greens year round 🌱
We are just getting started.

Dinner, leveled up.

Tried out this Creamy Harissa Butter Bean Stew from Sweet Greens Vegan! It’s absolutely packed with spicy flavor and plant powered comfort!

Finished it off with a handful of Red River Microgreens:
• Savory Blend for that savory and earthy depth
• Radish microgreens for a little spicy pop

Paired with a slice of sourdough toast and it was chef’s kiss.

If you’re cooking warm, cozy dishes like this, toss some micros on top for an easy upgrade in taste, texture, and nutrition.

Microgreens: not just a garnish.
