Community Uplift Program

Community Uplift Program will be closed Monday, October 12th, in observance of Indigenous Peoples' Day.

Indigenous Peoples' Day is an opportunity to recognize and honor the histories, cultures, traditions, resilience, and contributions of Indigenous peoples. It is also a time to learn about the history of Indigenous communities in the United States and acknowledge the experiences that have shaped Native communities across generations.

At Community Uplift Program, we believe learning about the histories and experiences of the people who make up our communities helps us build greater understanding, respect, and connection.

We encourage everyone to take some time on this day to learn, listen, reflect, and celebrate Indigenous cultures and communities. 💜

Our office will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, October 13th.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

October is a time to raise awareness, show support, and remind our community about the importance of breast health. 💗

Breast cancer can affect people from all walks of life, which is why awareness, regular screenings, knowing your own body, and talking with your healthcare provider are so important.

This month, we honor those who are currently facing breast cancer, celebrate survivors, remember those we have lost, and recognize the families, friends, caregivers, and healthcare professionals who provide support along the way.

Let’s use this month as an opportunity to learn, encourage, support, and remind one another that no one has to face a difficult journey alone.

There’s something special about the start of a new season. As the leaves begin to change and the air gets a little cooler, October gives us a chance to pause, reset, and look ahead.

Maybe you have goals you’re still working toward this year. Maybe you have something new you want to try, a habit you want to build, or simply a desire to take better care of yourself and those around you.

Remember—you don’t have to accomplish everything at once. Small steps still move you forward.

Let October be a reminder that there is still time to work toward your goals, make meaningful changes, and celebrate how far you’ve already come.

September may be Recovery Month, but at Community Uplift Program, we believe recovery deserves to be celebrated every day.

Recovery looks different for everyone. It can be choosing to ask for help, taking the first step, rebuilding relationships, finding stability, learning new coping skills, or simply choosing to keep moving forward—one day at a time.

Today, we celebrate every person who has chosen recovery and the courage it takes to make that choice. We celebrate the progress, the milestones, the setbacks overcome, and all the small victories along the way.

We also recognize the families, friends, peers, providers, and community members who walk alongside those in recovery. Recovery doesn't have to be a journey taken alone. 💙
