After Thursday (Sept 24), we're tracking two more systems between this weekend and next week.

The first system will bring light, scattered showers into our region on Saturday (Sept 26). Not much rain is expected.

The second system will sweep in between Monday and Tuesday (Sept 28 - 29). We're looking at a soaking, steady rain with this upcoming system.

All the while, temperatures will be in the 60s over the next few days, including the upcoming weekend. Sunday (Sept 27) will also bring partly sunny skies, offering a break from the rain. Stick with Valley News Live as we track the rain and mild temperatures.

A weather maker is pushing into our region tonight (Sept 23), bringing rain in the process. We're starting with rain showers over the next few hours. Overnight into Thursday morning (Sept 24), the showers turn into a steady, soaking rain, mainly impacting the RRV into northwest MN. Up to 1" of rain is possible in some areas. Here's a sneak peek of the upcoming weekend!

The first weekend of fall will bring seasonably warm temperatures. Lows will be in the 50s and highs will be in the 60s. However, a weather maker will bring rain Friday night into Saturday morning (Sept 25 - 26). Keep the VNL First Alert Weather App handy as we track the rain. The latter half of the weekend will be nicer, with partly sunny skies and dry conditions.

As we transition into the fall season, we're tracking a few opportunities for rain.

The first weather maker will start with rain showers in eastern ND late Wednesday afternoon (Sept 23). The rain becomes heavier as it crosses over the RRV overnight, with thunder possible at times. The rain exits by Thursday afternoon (Sept 24).

The second weather maker will be similar, starting west Friday evening and exiting early Saturday afternoon (Sept 25 - 26). Another weather maker will bring more rain early next week.

Rain sweeps in Wednesday evening into Thursday First Alert StormTeam Weather

Over the next few days, a seasonable temperature trend is expected. Afternoon highs will be in the mid-60s to low-70s between Thursday and the weekend (Sept 17 - 20). It's likely similar temperatures will stick around as we transition into the fall season. Go enjoy the comfortable afternoon weather if you can!

Seasonable sunshine returns Thursday First Alert StormTeam Weather

Our next weather maker is expected this upcoming Thursday night heading into Friday (Sept 17 - 18).

A low-pressure system will sweep through the Plains, mainly staying south of our region. As a result, moderate rainfall is expected in the southern areas for Friday, mainly for the first half of the day. This may impact any plans you have, especially if traveling south. A couple of rain chances are expected towards the latter half of the weekend as well. Stick with Valley News Live as we track our next opportunity for rain.

A few more opportunities for rain are expected later this week.

A weak disturbance will bring isolated rain showers into our region between late morning and mid-evening Wednesday (Sept 16). Not much rain is expected, and we're otherwise looking at cloudy skies and highs in the 60s.

Towards the end of the week, we have a better chance of rain. Our next weather maker will bring heavier rain into our region late morning into mid-evening Friday (Sept 18). The rain will mainly stay south, although exactly how far south remains to be determined. More showers are expected over the weekend.
