Torque & Prop Aviation LLC

Prefer your flying fast and high? Or low and slow? We are fans of both flavors 😎

Congrats Rocky “Spool” Heater on your first solo! Rocky is 16 years old and doesn’t even have his driver license yet!! Now that’s growing up right. Wasn’t the best visibility due to the local fires, but dealt with it like a champ.

Almost every morning, I start my day with a flight lesson for one of our students. However, when I find myself with a free morning, I conduct one of my favorite rituals: the salt flats coffee hop. Reminds me why aviation is so awesome, and that I am eternally grateful I have a role to expose this world to new pilots. I found a useful coffee warmer out there… ☕️🏜️🌵

Took our Cessna 140 to Carson City for the famed $100 coffee. Something special about pre-work morning cross country hops. I think cup holders are due for the 140. Huge fan of the loaner car.

So honored to be a part of this. Thank you OAF!!

Torque and Prop made its first Private Pilot today! Congratulations Wulfe, you have set the standard!! Remember what you’ve learned with us as you continue to develop as an aviator.

Congrats Camden! Beautiful morning for a first solo!!

Tried to reach the cumulus clouds (rare in Fallon) today in Doris. We got pretty close! Got to 12,500’ but then it got pretty cold 🥶Not too bad for an 80 year old airplane.

When you meet up with friends in high places! The itch for Aerobatics has been scratched.
