If these walls could talk, they’d have more than 50 years of Fallon history to share.

Built in 1914, the Wingfield Creamery was once an important part of the Lahontan Valley’s dairy industry, with much of the area’s milk production passing through the plant before it closed in the 1960s.

The property was owned by George Wingfield, a prominent Nevada businessman whose investments stretched from real estate and agriculture to mining throughout the state. More than a century later, it remains a piece of the agricultural and economic history that helped shape the Lahontan Valley.

There’s something special about hearing a good story told in person.

Spend an evening at Oats Park Art Center for Open Mic Storytelling, where members of the community take the stage to share true stories and a little piece of themselves.

Come tell yours or simply enjoy listening. 🎤 https://www.churchillarts.org/event-details/open-mic-storytelling
