SPRINTURF

“This is our pride. This is Bulldog pride.” -Jacqueline Paul-Watkins, Sumner High School Alumna, Class of 1969.

A field worth waiting for. A place for boys and girls to play. A new beginning for a neighborhood rebuilding after a devastating tornado.

In North St. Louis, the renovated field honors Sumner High School’s Tuskegee Airmen legacy while welcoming the next generation of athletes. The city’s $2.4 million investment includes a Sprinturf field, a new track, bleachers, and a scoreboard.

We’re proud to be part of this community’s next chapter. Click through the photos to hear from the students, alumni, and leaders who shared their stories with FOX 2. Full story here.
