Full-time intermodal dispatcher needed.

Prior experience required.

Responsibilities:

Functions include but are not limited to:
• Provide rates for new business.
• Accept incoming work orders for import and exports.
• Track import freight and adjust schedule accordingly.
• Book incoming export freight into schedule.
• Call to schedule freight delivery or pick up.
• Dispatch owner-operators and ensure each available truck has freight.
• Answer incoming emails including updating customers on freight movement status.
• Submit rail billing to steamship lines.
• Perform daily yard check.
• Update websites on load information daily.
• Audit load information daily via load management software for dispatch-related information and audit weekly for driver compensation purposes.
• Work on-call hours every other week.
• Promote a positive customer service oriented attitude and always promote driver retention.
• Increase intermodal revenue by 15% each year.
• Monitor daily revenue and make necessary adjustments to maintain that figure within expected ranges.
• Monitor and communicate the status of moving freight to operational personnel and customers to diminish operational issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills.
• Ability to understand and operate load management software.
• Ability to process data entry quickly and accurately.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills.

Prior intermodal dispatch experience required.
