Swim4Life
Bridging the gap between pool & open water by applying swim skills in realistic scenarios with our internationally recognized curriculum
🎃For everyone who's a little uneasy this time of year, don't forget the water is a safe space to bring all those feelings and SCREAM it out! 😱
Once students are comfortable submerging, the real fun begins!
🙇♂️When we dive, we use a glide/bow/pull technique:
1️⃣ Glide/Swim out until you see the toy or target.
2️⃣ Bow at your hips to get your torso pointing towards the bottom & legs behind you to kick.
3️⃣ Pull with big arms to the bottom, only reach for a toy once you get to the bottom.
🦦Water wants to push us back to the surface, we have to TELL the water when we want to go down!
🌊This skill helps us in an Ocean if a wave is about to crash on top of you, go UNDER the wave! Or if you’re stuck under a flipped watercraft, you can pull yourself DOWN & OUT to escape!🛶

We have heard that some people did not receive texts & emails regarding Swim4Life’s permanent closure and apologize for the inconvenience caused. We’ve done our best this week to ensure all current clients have been notified, but today is our last day with any staff.
A reminder to please join us in front of Evergreen Lakehouse at 6pm on Wednesday, October 23rd
This will be a chance to say goodbye to Instructors & ask any questions you have for our admin. We will have goodie bags for the kiddos too.
We wish you water 💙

Unfortunately, as of today Swim4Life will be closing our doors in Evergreen.
Our hearts have always been to promote water safety in our mountain community & a trusting relationship with water for our kiddos. We gave it all we had & held on as long as we could.
Every child in our pool was a blessing. We will not forget a single face we had the privilege of serving throughout the years.
Forever here as your water safety resource,
Courtney, Corynn & the Swim4Life team

We have 2 friends in a river that help us out!
🌪Eddy: found on the side of the river & hiding behind rocks, Eddy always goes the opposite of Flow. He is usually slower but not always!
💨 Flow: usually in the middle, Flow is the main current in a river. She is typically faster than Eddy.
It is important to practice identifying, navigating & being comfortable in BOTH currents. In the event of an emergency, either Eddy or Flow may be needed to get to a safe exit.
We are so honored to be a part of your kiddos' water stories! Thank you for trusting us to partner with you introducing water for a lifetime.
So grateful & blessed by for helping us make lessons possible for families in your community. ❤️
Looking for a calm, relaxing pool environment for therapy?
How about a current that won’t cut you any slack for competitive training?
You can rent out our pool to use for both! Our Instructors also work with adults if you want a specialized training or recovery plan.

Why should you never get in the water with a blood clot? 🩸
🧦 When we enter the water, our body goes into a compression stocking. (Like those weird socks they make you wear on a plane)
🫀 The water pushes all the blood from extremities to the heart.
🌡 Meanwhile, your heart rate slows to temperature regulate.
Just being in the water is a great stretch for your heart at a muscle!
ALWAYS consult your physician before swimming to make sure you’re safe to get in. 😉
