📚✨ THE SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR IS HERE! ✨📚
Remember when the Scholastic Book Fair was basically an elementary school holiday and you immediately wanted EVERYTHING? It’s officially our kids’ turn!

📍 View Ridge Library
📚 Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 3:30–5 P.M.
📚 Thursday, Oct. 8 from 3:30–7:30 P.M.

Thursday also happens to be Curriculum Night, so you’re already going to be there… just saying. 👀

Can’t make it? Shop online through Oct. 18! Scan the QR code or visit the link in the comments for all the info.

❤️ And because Book Fairs apparently don’t run on childhood nostalgia alone, we could still use some volunteers! Scan the volunteer QR code (or again, link in the comments) if you can help us out.

And just like that, we’re the parents taking our kids to the Book Fair. Excuse me while I go process that. 🙃

📋 Is filling out a volunteer application anyone’s idea of a good time? Not really.
🥰 Are we going to keep reminding you anyway? Yep!

Walk-A-Thon is OCTOBER 29TH, and applications take time to be approved. If you’re planning to come cheer on your little Viking, get yours in ASAP! 👟⏰

❤️ We know, we know… one more form. At least there’s a little cheering-on-your-kiddo payoff at the end! ❤️

👀 I know you have a favorite. Don’t worry, this is a safe space. 😉

Here’s your chance to name names and brag shamelessly about an amazing View Ridge teacher! 🍎

⬇️ Check out the original post for all the details, and make sure your official shoutout makes its way to the original post so it counts! ⬇️

Go ahead. Play favorites. We won’t tell. 🤫

We’re excited to announce Sweet Teacher Shoutouts, giving up to 30 PTAs the opportunity to receive $1,250 from National PTA to celebrate exceptional teachers.

We’re inviting families and PTAs to recognize the educators who inspire, encourage and make learning meaningful every day. And entering is super simple—you can share your entry right here in the comments of this Facebook post or on your own page!

📸 Share a favorite photo or video and tell us what makes your teacher truly buzz-worthy. You can highlight as many teachers as you’d like, but please feature one teacher per entry.

Before you get started, check out the full entry criteria at https://bit.ly/4cfvOMs.

Let’s fill Facebook with gratitude and celebrate the incredible teachers making a difference in our schools—one buzz-worthy shoutout at a time! 🐝✨
🍎📚✏️🎓🍯🐝🌼🧁🍬💛✨
Sweet Teacher Shoutouts, sponsored by , is a fun way to build excitement for National PTA’s 2027 Teacher Appreciation Week, May 3–7! 🐝🍯 This year’s theme is “How Sweet It Is to Bee Taught by You!"

✨ Thought you missed your chance? PLOT TWIST! ✨

While we'd love to have your forms beforehand (I'll even post a copy in the comments), we've decided to make this suspiciously easy to say YES. 😂

Future Art Docents can now just show up to orientation & training on September 30th at 9:30 a.m. and we'll get ya squared away!!

So, still on the fence? Consider that fence officially scooted! You're welcome! 🎨

If you’re wondering what exactly an Art Docent is… Hi, same. 👋 I had questions when this landed on my posting list. 😂

Basically, Art Docents spend a little extra time in their student’s classroom once a month bringing an art lesson to life. No experience required!

🎨 We supply the stuff.
🖍️ We help with the planning.
🙌 We give you training and support.
👯 You may even have a team to tackle it with! Many classrooms have multiple Art Docents who work together.

And!! As an added bonus, you get to hang out with your kiddo, too!! What a sweet deal! Dip your toes in (or probably a paintbrush…) and come see us!! 🖌️

Forms are due September 25th, just drop yours off with your student’s teacher! Orientation and training will be held September 30th at 9:30 a.m. in the main hallway. Can’t make it (because honestly, I dropped the ball on getting this posted sooner 😅)? A make-up training can be arranged! Just reach out to Erin at [email protected]. I promise she’s super nice!

Final reminder, join us TONIGHT at 6 p.m. in the View Ridge Library for our first PTA meeting of the year! 🎊🎉

✨️ Just PTA-curious? We'd love to see you, too!! ✨️

📣 Obligatory reminder post!!

Our first PTA meeting is THIS WEDNESDAY at 6 p.m. in the View Ridge Library.

No bouncer. No dress code. No secret handshake required. Just come hang out, hear what we're up to, and meet some pretty cool people who spend their time dreaming up all the extras that make the school year more fun. ✨

CONGRATULATIONS. YOU'RE ON THE LIST 🎉🎫

For what, you ask? Our first PTA meeting of the year, obviously 😂

📅 Wednesday, September 23 at 6 p.m.
📍 View Ridge Library

Come hang out, hear what we have going on, toss around any ideas you may have, ask questions, or just come and see what this whole PTA thing is about.

Never been to a PTA meeting? No problem! Already involved? Come see us! Just a little PTA-curious? This is a pretty good place to start!

✨ Disclaimer: No special invite is actually required. Everyone deserves to feel a little special sometimes ✨

🚨 The Back to School Social is TONIGHT! 🍕

🎨 AND as an added bonus for our 5th grade artists, we'll already have a table set up with supplies... so why not get creative and hand-deliver your masterpiece directly to the PTA??? Look at us... eliminating the middleman! Talk about efficient!! 💅😂

We can't wait to see you! ❤️

BACK TO SCHOOL SOCIAL! 🍕🎉

Students are back in school. We're all pretending we have our routines figured out. Seems like a good enough reason for pizza and some freeze pops 😂

📅 Friday, September 18th from 5-7 p.m.
📍 View Ridge Playground & Cafeteria

Join us for a little pizza, an Otter Pop (or two 👀), and a chance to get to know some of the people you've been passing at drop-off & pick-up!

🍕 Eat some pizza that you didn't have to make.
😋 Grab an Otter Pop.
👋 Meet some other View Ridge families.
💬 Chat, hang out, and put some names to the familiar faces around school.

And if you're PTA-curious, come find us! Ask any of your burning questions, see what we're up to, or just casually hover nearby until someone says hi!

📣 Forget the fridge. We're putting a 5th grader's artwork on a T-SHIRT.

🎨 Parents, you heard that correctly. One of those drawings currently taking over your kitchen counter could be MERCH.

No pressure. Just the possibility of your kiddo casually walking around school like, "Oh, that shirt? Yeah. I designed it." 😎

🚨 Check the flyer for the rules, get creative, and drop your finished design in the RED PTA BOX by SEPTEMBER 23!

📝 We hate being the bearer of more paperwork, but if you're planning to come cheer on your little Viking at the Walk-A-Thon...

✨ You'll need to be an approved district volunteer first!! ✨

🙃 Yep... even if you're just coming to watch. We don't make the rules, but we DO make the slightly obnoxious reminders about them. 😂

✅ The good news? Once you're approved, you're good for the entire school year! So get this checked off the list now, because future you will be glad you did!

And hey, since you'll already be approved... we happen to know a pretty cool PTA that would love to have you volunteer sometime. 👀😉
