Local union of workers at the City of Eugene AFSCME represents approximately 620 employees who work in every department at the City of Eugene.
The members AFSCME represents include workers who sweep and repair our streets; maintain our wastewater system; maintain and clean our parks and public facilities; shelve and organize the resources at our Library; review and approve permits, process payments and assist with countless community requests. We are the first point of contact for our community members.

Hi all; Wendy here. In case you haven't heard, Gary Gillespie's memorial will take place this Saturday, 10/29, at 3:30 at the Eugene Public Library. Please come if you wish. I sadly can't make it, but will raise a spoonful of mint chip ice cream in his honor. He was a good person in so many ways - impish, kind-hearted, and dedicated to public service and AFSCME. 💚

We still need a contract! The City of Eugene has a surplus of $10 million and should invest in its hardworking employees who provide the services our community needs.
