When I started the new Tonal program 12 Weeks To Unleash 7 weeks ago…elevated pushups WAS NOT in my wheelhouse. And even though my right wrist is recovering and I had to make a fist on that hand…I was still able to pull this off!!
This program has been challenging in so many ways…yet I keep showing up!! 4 days a week…EVERY WEEK…I show up. Why? Because I want to be BETTER…STRONGER!!! And the hard things that I do in the weight room enable me to do the hard things in life.
So…if you’re reading this…Let this be a reminder…hard work…consistency…AND challenging yourself to move beyond your comfort zone will ALWAYS lead to a better…stronger you…in EVERY AREA OF YOUR LIFE!! *t

I took a Pilates class this morning with an instructor I had never taken before. After class she asked me a few questions about my practice (how long I had been practicing; how many times a week; etc). She ended the conversation by saying to keep doing what I’m doing because I have excellent form and I’m strong AF (🤭her words). I replied by simply saying thank you and that it’s not by accident. Everyday I work at it and I’m very intentional about BEING STRONG 💪🏾!!!
If you’re reading this…this is your reminder to be intentional about BECOMING STRONG!!! It’s not about being skinny BUT it is about being strong. The numbers on the scale don’t paint a complete picture OR tell the full story.
As women…as we age we lose muscle mass. We can develop weak bones and suffer from osteopenia or osteoporosis…which can lead to breaks and fractures. But that doesn’t have to be OUR story. So…if you needed a reason to get intentional and to focus on strength training…DO IT FOR YOUR FUTURE SELF!!! She deserves it!!! 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
