Join us for a People’s Tour of the University of Oregon Wednesday, April The 22nd from 1:30-2:30. We will meet in Lawerence 206 to start the tour.
Following A People’s Guide to the Univeristy of Oregon, this accessible outdoor tour reveals the seemingly ordinary places where extraordinary histories have occurred. Centering an analysis of power and rejecting exclusionary narratives of space, the tour commemorates the places where people have confronted, challenged, won and lost their battles with oppression - often transforming the landscape in their wake. We hope that by joining this pilgrimage through time and space, students and others can learn more about how power works at the Univeristy and their place within the struggle.
