Twin Rivers Charter School

Our 8th and 9th graders got a super cool opportunity to meet with a wildlife biologist from the Bureau of land management, students learned what native plants help maintain a diverse river ecosystem. Our red crew then helped propagate willow branches, which will then be planted at Whittaker creek to help stabilize the bank of the river!

🌳 Where was your favorite camping trip?
"My favorite memory at Twin Rivers is when we went to Mt St Helens. I could lie in a hammock and stare at the stars. There were more stars than I have ever seen."

🌳 What is something that TRCS has taught you?
"Twin Rivers has helped teach me the importance of teamwork and how amazing it is to get to know and form connections with the greatest people I have ever known."

With 2026 graduation just 24 hours away, today we are throwing back to our Classes of 2014 & 2015! As one class prepares to take its next step, we’re looking back at another group of TRCS graduates who did the same 12 years ago.

🌳 Where was your favorite camping trip?
"My favorite memory is being on spike by the McKenzie River. I just like camping and being outdoors."

🌳 What is something that TRCS has taught you?
"Something I learned at Twin Rivers is to be more friendly. Everyone here is pretty chill, and people here aren't linked in specific groups. Everyone talks to everyone."

"I don't really have any favorite memory in particular but I do recall a lot of fun times I had out in the woods with the school."

"I think I gained a greater sense of independence through my experience at Twin Rivers."

"My favorite camping trip was Mt St Helens because of its exclusivity - knowing that I was camping someplace that most people won't be able to experience."

"TRCS has taught me how to problem solve and how to work with people who aren't my friends or people I have never met."

"My favorite camping trip was at Fish Lake. It was my first spike of 9th grade."

🌳 What is something that TRCS has taught you?
"TRCS has taught me how to be a better person and to handle myself and other people better. Also, how to work hard."
