Thinking of Jerry today. This one he wrote my name and signed it for me, then Bobby decided to sign over his signature. This one was from when they were on rockline December 11th 1989. A taping friend of mine at the time John Valenzuela worked at the Global Satellite Network in Los Angeles and had this advertisement from a trade magazine and got some other things signed but when he handed Jerrry this ad to sign Jerry asked who to make it out to and John thought of me and said "to Ian". I wasn't present but this was given to me afterward and I was completely amazed that I got both Jerry and Bob's signatures...

Here we go.... Billed as the Fare Well Show for Left On Wilson This one was there last one. A fantastic "dinner" show that was full of energy. Well that was fun! Yesterday afternoon or early evening I had a wonderful time down at Emerald Park seeing John Shipe and Friends. It was a fantastic show and wonderful to see John play with a full band and electric guitar as well. The Friends are: Mike Beaulieu (from Shady GroOove) Patrick Kavaney Music (from The Dubious Rubes) and David Johnson (from Boxcar Figaro). Here are some photos I snapped last night, my recording sounds wonderful and will be posted in the near future...

Such a fine way to spend a midsummer's Sunday afternoon at the park. I was fortunate enough to be able to go and record the summer The Sugar Beets at Emerald Park yesterday. The recording sounds wonderful, and will follow at some point in the near future. I snapped a lot of photos and here are some of them.

The other night on Thursday July 16th I was able to attend and record sadly the last Left On Wilson show ever. They were in fantastic form and their set was packed with energy and perfect segues from one song to another. My recording sounds phenomenal which of course will be posted to the live music archive sometime in the near future...

One more set of photos from later Sunday night after the sweep went through out at the front porch we were treated to an excellent set from Old Friends and this wonderful collection of musicians who chose the name of the band for the evening to be called LoLo Pass. Phenomenal set of music consisting of all cover songs but played with such spirit and energy was so much fun. What recording of this one sounds spectacular and I can't wait to get it uploaded to the archive for everyone to hear. Here are a few photos to close out the 2026 Oregon Country Fair.

Finally the culminating event of mainstage at Oregon Country Fair on Sunday July 12th, the all-star tribute to Bob Weir, featuring many but especially Steve Kimock and Lebo were the highlights for me. It was crowded and tight and we arrived early and we're up on the fence. People kept filling in and it was getting more and more crowded. The sound up front was excellent except that there were no side fills and the stage feel speakers had no sound or any vocals coming out of them. Jay Lane's drums were very loud, as well as Pete Sears bass sounds had all the subs driving hard. This means that when you are up at the front of the stage you could not hear anyone's vocals or even the announcements very well. Also to note the fence line used to come out at an angle from each side of the speaker stacks and the fence had been about 15 ft from the front of the stage notably this year it was only about 6 ft away from the front thrust stage. The fence line was flattened, this meant we are much closer to the stage. Hopefully in the future they can fix the wack of vocal mix in at the front of the stage. To note I believe this is the only band ever to have two sets at main stage. The one exception might be if you consider when Phil Lesh and Friends played, however that was the closing set of mainstage and followed by an evening set after the sweep went through. The recording sounds amazing, albeit you can't hear the vocals in the mix very well regardless, here are the photos I snapped of the first and second set.

Sunday of the Oregon Country Fair on July 12th was a busy afternoon up at the main stage. Here are some photos I grabbed from way up front at the fence for the Sam Grisman Project. The sound was pretty good but it was definitely windy which was noticeable since they are an acoustic band with many mics on stage. They had a phenomenal setlist and the playing was stellar.

On Saturday midday at the main stage at Oregon Country Fair we were treated to this fantastic set by Asher Fulero and Friends which also included Jeff Pevar among others, and appearance by Curtis Salgado. Here are some snaps that I took on that warm afternoon.

Mid-afternoon on Friday July 10th I was able to catch the phenomenal set by Sierra Hull at the main stage of the Oregon Country Fair. Here are a few photos that I snapped from up front.
