We recently replaced a set of old, rotting and extremly slippery railroad tie stairs for a return customer. We elected to go with basalt slabs for the treads. The natural basalt blends into the landscapes perfectly, instead of sticking out loudly like a set of concrete stairs would have. This method also allowed for very liitle disturbance on the surronding landscape. Only one issue... they each weigh 900 lbs each! Gonna need a crane!

We were asked by a repeat client to replace their garden gate and pathway.
Being asked to return to a repeat clients home or business for another build is always the highest compliment! 😎
The gateway and side panels and constructed with mortis and tenoned Western red Cedar stained with .
The inset hummingbird panels are custom made from 1/4" powder coated aluminum CNC laser cut by a local fabricator.
The pathway is built with "Leiden" pavers by set in a 5-stone pattern.

We finished up the driveway widening/ retaining wall project. Turned out great!
Best of all, the customer is thrilled with the results! Now the delivery drivers wont have an excuse if they run into this corner of the house. 😂
Retaining wall is built with "Murata" wall block W/ their Cappello Cap stone.
On to the next project...

I typically loath orchestrating getting the materials to the job site.
Sometimes however, it can be the most fun part of the job! 😎Hard to tell in the video just how steep the driveway is!
