I took this shot earlier this month. Was out at my favorite place to go and it was quite an undramatic day. Clear skies, still waters, nothing of interest that was photo worthy. Packed up my camera, and was making my way to the car with a let down feeling that it had been a wasted day. Just before making it to the car, I turned around for one last look, and saw this!!! It came up out of nowhere and disappeared just as fast. It was amazing to see this huge "mountain" rising up out of Lake Erie and no photo can do it justice as to how large this was. Needless to say, I left the beach feeling blessed and thankful to have witnessed this sight and able to catch it on camera!!!

A different view of one of my favorite places to be-the beach! There wasn't much happening as far as visual on the day I took this shot, so made my own creative view.

Just happened to be outside last night and saw an unusual sight... a red moon! So I was scurrying around to get inside, grab my camera and running to get the tripod from my car and get set up before it was too late! Was able to get these 2 shots before the moon was covered by the clouds. About 3 minutes later, we were having thunderstorms! Not sure if this would be classified as a harvest moon or a blood moon, or something else, but it was amazing to witness!

Had a chance to go to Waldameer in Erie, PA. Had a great time and super enjoyed being able to shoot something different that I have never shot before!!!

There is something to be said about keeping older photos and not deleting them. In a way, I am a hoarder. Of photos that I take! I have looked at this one many times but didn't think there was anything "special" about it. Then last night, I was looking at some older shots, and this one caught my eye...something...something grabbed my attention. So a bit of a color boost, and I am now super excited! Look at the tail feathers...don't they look like black feathers with white polka dots? Let me know what you think!!

Photographing fireworks is not something I get to practice very often and there are a lot of variables when shooting them. So I was extremely pleased with this one and it is my favorite fireworks shot to date! On this night, I was interested in trying to get some smoke shots. Smoke from the fireworks and from the bonfire. So, you can see the smoke in this one. I was shooting straight up, and a light rain had started falling-that is the white dots in this one. This was the last shot for the night, since I decided to put the camera away. Didn't want it to get damaged from rain.

Real life has taken over this summer! Much less time to go out and shoot...plus the heat, or rather the humidity, has been almost unbearable. Asthma and humidity just don't make for a good combo for me. Uggggg.
Therefore, I am behind in posting any new works here, but I do have a few I want to share with you!

Just one photo for now! While at the beach, I was fascinated how the waves were making this swirly pattern in the water. I attempted to get a good shot of it, even though this was a stretch for me. Love doing new things!

Went out to my favorite place the other evening to walk the beach and watch the sunset. To my delight, there was a group out on the lake with a paddle board! It was a different and new challenge for me to take photos, and I sure did enjoy the opportunity to get a different take on sunset photos.
