It was truly a mountain top experience to work with composer Michael Dobrich and a real honor to premiere his original compositions in his debut performance, ‘Collections’. We really had the opportunity to grow as a group through this process, as well as understand the mind of this truly remarkable, up-and-coming young composer. We even had the fun opportunity to include our treasurer, Sarah Gustwiller, performing Michael's concerto for bass clarinet, 'The Unknown'. We will be posting more video and audio content from this groundbreaking performance, but for now we hope you enjoy some of the pictures from this memorable evening!

Rehearsals are well underway for our Spring concert season, featuring the works of composer Michael Dobrich. It has been a delight to have Michael attend rehearsals as we work our way through his thoughtfully-crafted pieces. Also, it was a special treat to have our very own concertmaster, Eden Doulanc, conduct us through a few pieces (and giving Todd a little break!) today! She really did a great job!

Preparations are well underway for our spring concert series, featuring the music of young composer Michael Dobrich! Sally and Todd had a chance to connect with him earlier today at our NEW concert venue, which will be the perfect setting to debut Michael's breathtaking, thoughtful and unique masterpieces. As a special treat, Michael also composed a concerto featuring our treasurer, Sarah Gustwiller, on bass clarinet! If you are in the Erie area on March 28th, you are not going to want to miss this unique performance! Check out our website for more info:

It's with an incredibly heavy heart that we are sharing with you all that our beloved friend, Cynthia Culver, has sadly passed away. While we have not had the pleasure of performing with her in recent years, Cynthia was a very active member of the CIOP who always brought with her a quiet sense of calm and understanding to the orchestra. Playing her violin with us was something that she truly loved, and we truly loved in return. We will miss you, friend.

**coming 2026!**
Adored. Despised. Revered. Detested. Emblematic party fiend, yet devoted family man. Founding father of one of the darkest sounding musical genres that we know today, yet one of the sweetest, kindest, most compassionate and generous human beings to have ever walked the planet. Regardless of the multitude of perspectives and opinions about this man, Ozzy Osbourne remains one of the remarkably fascinating men to have walked this planet. As an homage to this unique figure, the CIOP is very proud to announce our upcoming 2026 summer concert series: Crazy Train, a musical tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. Prepare for a crazy ride, friends \m/ \m/
*dates, times and location to be announced in the spring of 2026.
If you weren't able to join us in person, please enjoy this video from the performance! Special thank you to Pat Root for the nice footage!

Last night we revisited the Legend of Zelda, walked through the gauntlet of Donkey Kong, re-lived the antics of the Mario Brothers, and many, many more adventures - all through the custom orchestrations of Ms. Nadya Stratton! In addition to composing orchestral themes from a number of popular video games, we were also treated to a few custom compositions of her own interpretation as well. It's always hard to come down from the high of such a night like this, so we're hoping that a few pictures and video clips will help you all enjoy the memories from yesterday's performance. Our next concert series is already being planned, so stay tuned!
