Non Toxic Encinitas

We won. Encinitas is now a member of the xerces society. 5 out of 5 council members voted in favor of our program. 😃
Bee City USA® and Bee Campus USA work to galvanize communities to sustain pollinators, in particular the more than 3,600 species of native bees in this country, by increasing the abundance of native plants, providing nest sites, and reducing the use of pesticides. Bee City USA and Bee Campus USA are initiatives of the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation.

Just found out our item will not be on the agenda until 9 or 10 tomorrow night. All my speakers backed out. We are trying to get Encinitas to become a member of the xerces society to protect our pollinators.. Normally I'm against flooding council members with emails. They are busy people and emails are easily ignored. Desperate measures for Desperate times. Any and all letters would be appreciated. Unfortunately they need to be in by high noon tomorrow. Keep them short and sweet. It increases the odds of them being read.
