Executive Order N-9-25 is allowing homeowners to build and occupy Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) on fire-affected properties before rebuilding their primary residences. This is a crucial step in expediting housing solutions for those who have lost their homes in recent fires.

It’s snow joke, Nellie’s Neighborhood in Summit County, Colorado is under construction and looking sharp. 14 new units nearing completion by contractors, Summit Homes Construction.

Design Path Studio works with various cities and counties to create permit ready designs, which offer property owners a selection of pre-approved building plans that can be downloaded from each jurisdiction we serve. These permit ready designs help expedite the permit process and reduces preconstruction fees. These designs can be customized upon request.

It’s fun to visit projects after they are built and occupied. Here Yvonne poses in front of her mixed use project on the coast highway in downtown Encinitas, CA. This project was completed in 2019 in conformance with the downtown Encinitas Specific Plan. Yvonne was born and raised in Encinitas/Leucadia and resides there today with her husband and two boys. The hometown projects are always special.

Yvonne St. Pierre, “This was back in 2000 when I was working remotely for a design firm in San Francisco. No Zoom, Logmein, VPN, Dropbox, or Wetransfer. Just Zip drives, USPS (with markups on full size hard copies), fax, phone, and basic email.”

Exciting News: in Colorado has broken ground on Nellie’s Neighborhood, a 15 unit local workforce housing project created with Design Path Studio ADU plans. Our planner/project manager Geoff Plagemann was there on scene for the groundbreaking. Summit County residents can also use these stock ADU plans on their own properties.
