Encinitas isn’t just one beach town… it’s FIVE neighborhoods in one!

And each one’s got its own style, story, and vibe. Let’s break it down:

1. Old Encinitas
🏄‍♂️ Classic SoCal surf town. Vintage shops, La Paloma Theatre, and a walkable downtown that feels frozen in time (in the best way).

2. New Encinitas
🏡 Newer homes, big stores, and more space. It’s where suburbia meets the coast—with a golf course to top it off. ⛳

3. Leucadia
🎨 Funky, artsy, a little weird (and proud of it). Indie coffee spots, local art, and mellow beach access points. ☕️

4. Cardiff-by-the-Sea
🌊 Chill coastal vibes, epic surf, and that famous “Cardiff Crack” from Seaside Market. Feels like its own beach village. 🏄‍♀️

5. Olivenhain
🐴 Rural roots with room to roam. Think horses, trails, and wide open spaces—just minutes from the ocean. 🌲

Fun fact: The name “Encinitas” comes from Spanish for “little oaks” 🌳
And the city officially formed in 1986 when these five communities joined together.
