Ban all carriages! Boycott & please share this post. 🙏😢

The only thing protecting horses exploited in NYC’s horse-drawn carriage industry is NYCLASS’s Carriage Horse Heat Relief Bill!

The drivers' complaints prove they don't care about their horses & would still be forcing them to work no matter the heat if there were no laws 😞

• @hausofpibbs 🤩Tiffany #A5505714 is a 6 yr old pocket pittie who came into the shelter as a stray on 9/27. Tiffany loves to play fetch with a tennis ball and drops it at your feet🎾She is very easy to handle, walks great on leash, and enjoys being petted in between chasing tennis balls. Tiffany has medium energy, the staff recommend she go to a home with high school kids and up and she should be the only dog. 10/10/22 - Tiffany A5505714 (ALTERED) ignored the runner when she arrived at her kennel, Tiffany and the dog being kenneled next to her were both barking at each other. The runner displayed the leash, Tiffany noticed it, her body was neutral, her eyes were alert and her mouth was closed. She was easy to remove and tensed up, and growled at the dogs as she was passing by the kennels. In the catch pen when she was introduced to the other dogs her body was tense, she growled at the dogs, her pupils were dilated and ears were alert. She was muzzled prior to entering the yard for the safety of the dogs. She entered the yard and was tense during the greetings. She growled and chased any dog that approached her. Her body was tense, her tail was stiff and high and her eyes were alert. The handlers were able to correct her with the shake can. Overall Tiffany was defensive of the other dogs and does not have a playstyle at this time. BEHAVIORALLY OK FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION, HIGH SCHOOL Aged kids and up (REQ), NO OTHER DOGS (REQ)

A5505714 (Altered): Tiffany
Tiffany was at the front of the kennel when the runner arrived. She had a soft and submissive demeanor as the runner began to speak to her. She had a helicopter wag, ears back, closed mouth, soft eyes and a neutral body posture. She sniffed and licked the runner’s hand when it was presented to her. Tiffany was able to be easily leashed and safely removed from the kennel. She walked nicely on the leash, alongside of the runner, completely ignoring the barking dogs. She glanced back at the runner a few times as she walked through the building. She had a loose tail wag, a loose body and soft eyes as she made her way to the yard. Inside the catch pen, she was easy to collar. She offered no gate greetings and tried keeping her distance from the door. She had a low tail, concerned eyes, ears back, a closed mouth and cowered posture. She was muzzled as a precaution due to previous behavior displayed in the yard. Tiffany entered the yard with the dogs, she had a tensed body posture, a high tail, dilated pupils, a closed mouth and ears back. She appeared very uncomfortable with the dogs sniffing her backside but tolerated them. When the dogs moved away, she would paw at the muzzle, flailing around and trying to get it off. The handler was able to steer her to cease the behavior. Tiffany stood around for a while, observing the other dogs interacting. She steered clear of the play and any interactions with the dogs. She would calmly sniff around the yard, keeping to herself. Often times, she came back to the entrance door and stood there in a frozen manner. Some of the dogs would try interacting with Tiffany, she began to challenge the dogs in the yard, growling at them and pressing her muzzle against the faces and/or bodies. The handler was able to steer her once again. While in the yard, a puppy came to sniff Tiffany. She turned to look at the dog, growled, pressed her muzzle on her back and then mounted her while growling intensely. The handler used the sq**rt bottle which did not steer her away. The handler had to physically remove her off of the dog and she was shifted into a yard alone. She stood at the door with a low energy and waited to leave. Tiffany had no playstyle and is selective of other dogs. She will be available for public adoption, it is required she go to a home with high school aged children or older, no other dogs are required.
