A little over a week ago, & organized a community effort to break the for largest S’more’s Stack. It almost happened here in Encinitas. Good news is that when the stack went down, people got to eating.

A big thanks to Josh and team for putting this rad event together.

When we’re not distracted, we see the details around us. In those moments, intentional observations can be the seeds that germinate new appreciations, thoughts, innovations, opportunities for growth.

That’s one of the many reasons I love spending time with in Rwanda. When I’m there, I’m fully present - immersed in the world around me, without distractions, surrounded by people focused on the parts of life that truly matter.

After the pain, the struggle, the grief - the light seeps in and, if you let it, shines bright.

S E C O N D.

I’ve had the privilege of helping out and tagging along on some of ’s shoots. This snap was from a shoot in SoCal at a pretty epic location.

Second shooting is always an interesting experience. Looking at the lens, angle, and creative decisions of another helps you see the world through a different lens. I’ve learned quite a bit from Maria during the process.

If you can sit in the back and assist someone, do it, not only does it feel good but you gain a new perspective that just might open your eyes to a whole new way of doing things.

Q U I E T.

The quiet moments, where you can hear your breath, the birds soaring above and the wind gently tossing the grass. That’s where you find peace.
