The ELA is a 501c3 supporting employees of the City of Encinitas Marine Safety Division and promotes water safety within the North County of San Diego.

The Encinitas Lifeguard Association is a nonprofit (501-C3 tax exempt) organization chartered to promote beach safety awareness and professional open-water lifesaving standards. We share the mission, goals and objectives of the CSLSA. The CSLSA (west coast region) is one of seven regions of the United States Lifesaving Association (USLA) which in turn is affiliated to the International Lifesaving Association (ILS).

We’re stoked to announce that The BEN DID GO 8.0 is scheduled to take place on Sat Sept 16th! For all interested paddlers and boat captains, in this years epic 30 mile prone paddle, we’ll be holding a mandatory meeting on Thursday, May 25th at 6pm . We’d love to see you there!!

Get ready, this is going to be the biggest year yet!! All in honor of Ben’s heroic legacy, and in support of the BCMSF. 🙏🙌

Cruising into the weekend with a lot of exciting things in the works!

Behind the scenes our team is currently planning the Ben Did Go 8.0 paddle from Catalina to Newport, we’re finalizing our 2023 Scholarship recipient selections, planning the Scholarship Awards Dinner, supporting the summit in San Diego, and prepping an outreach team to visit Nicaragua later this month.
