🏆 HAPPY NATIONAL COACHES DAY! 🏆

Today we’re celebrating the coaches who show up, cheer loud, teach lessons, build confidence, and remind our Hawks that the best victories aren’t always on the scoreboard. 🏈🏐⚽️🏀👟

So if you see a coach walking around campus today… GIVE THEM A HIGH-FIVE! 🙌

To all of our ECDS coaches: THANK YOU for the time, energy, encouragement, and heart you pour into our students. We are so grateful for you! 🏆

Happy National Coaches Day, Hawks!

✨HAWK HIGHLIGHT✨
Celebrating Student Voice & Leadership

Last week, our Middle School students took part in an exciting student council election! From campaigning and sharing ideas to casting their votes, students had the opportunity to experience the importance of leadership, responsibility, and having a voice in their school community.

A Word from Our Principal, Ms. Hayes:

“This week’s Hawk Highlight goes to our Middle School Student Council and all of the students who campaigned! We are proud of everyone who put themselves out there, shared their ideas, and participated in the election process. Congratulations to our winners!”

Congratulations to all of our student candidates and our newly elected Middle School Student Council! We are proud of the courage, leadership, and school spirit they demonstrated.

📚✨ All smiles in Mrs. Nelson’s Study Hall!

Study Hall gives our 5th graders dedicated time for independent work in the library. They are building organization, focus, responsibility, and the confidence to manage their classwork and homework independently.

We love seeing our students make the most of this time while developing the habits and skills that set them up for success both in and out of the classroom. 📓

✏️📚 Growing as Writers in 4th Grade!

Ms. Jones’ 4th grade class is strengthening their writing skills through hands-on editing practice. Students are carefully reviewing paragraphs to identify errors in grammar, punctuation, spelling, capitalization, and sentence structure while learning how thoughtful revisions can improve clarity and communication.

These editing exercises encourage students to slow down, think critically about their writing, and develop the skills needed to become confident, purposeful writers. 📝✨

At ECDS, we believe strong writing begins with learning to look closely, revise thoughtfully, and take pride in the finished work. 📖
