ONE Research Foundation
ONE's mission is to advance mind-body healthcare through research, education and service.
ONE's goal is to improve patients' health through expanded access to safe, effective, noninvasive, drugless approaches to health and healing. ONE's research validates integrative health care techniques and opens the door for new treatment options.
The relationship between the mind and body has long been recognized in practice, yet is often treated as separate in research and healthcare.
At the ONE Research Foundation, we support research that explores the relationship between our mind and body. By investigating these connections, we hope to contribute to a more holistic understanding of health, one that recognizes the human organism as an integrated whole.
The future of holistic healthcare depends on continued research, discovery, and a willingness to look beyond the divide.

In a Randomized Controlled Trial at the Department of Integrative Medicine and Nutritional Sciences, Marcus Institute of Integrative Health, Thomas Jefferson University, study results demonstrated brain functional connectivity changes on fMRI in patients with chronic pelvic pain treated with NET. Imaging revealed a decrease in connectivity in key regions of the brain involved in pain processing and emotional regulation, including the amygdala, cerebellum, and post central gyrus.
Pain doesn’t just happen at the site of pain but also in your neurology and physiology. Through both qualitative and quantitative measures, the intervention of NET produced physiological and emotional changes, essentially changing the way the brain communicates with itself regarding pain.

When we feel more regulated, connected, and at ease within ourselves, we’re often better able to show up for the people around us.
The ONE Research Foundation continues to fund research on NET, helping us understand this life changing technique more deeply.

At the ONE Research Foundation, every donation directly supports research focused on expanding our understanding of the mind-body connection.
This work is made possible by a community of passionate practitioners and patients who believe in reciprocity—in giving back to the work that has positively impacted their lives and the lives of others.

Do you suffer from low back pain? Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) dramatically changes physiology: measurably, consistently, and repeatedly. A randomized controlled trial of Chronic Low Back Pain patients indicated that 8 NET interventions, compared to placebo, produced:
Clinically and statistically significant reductions in pain, disability, and inflammatory biomarkers
Improvements in quality-of-life markers

Dr. Kevin Determan speaks on how NET peels back the layers of who we aren’t and gets us closer to who we really are.
Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) is based on the concept that unresolved emotional trauma is stored in the body. Emotions such as excessive, unresolved anger, grief or fear may affect people long after they have forgotten the cause. Since emotional reality dramatically affects health, using NET to identify and release negatively charged emotions (Neuro Emotional Complexes) allows for normalization of abnormal physical and behavioral patterns. ONE’s research aims to understand the efficacy of NET as a form of treatment to address a range of conditions.

We now have measurable, consistent and repeatable evidence showing the dramatic changes Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) makes in the human body.
Dr. Frank Segreto speaks on the 2017 study funded by ONE Research Foundation. 23 cancer patients who had distressing cancer-related experiences that caused traumatic stress were divided into two groups; some received NET and others were waitlisted to a control group. All patients received a functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) while listening to the story of their distressing cancer memory before and after NET.
In the human brain, the parahippocampus is known to be critical for handling stress. fMRI images produced during the study revealed that for patients who received NET treatment, the parahippocampus is no longer activated post treatment. To learn more about our research and to explore donor opportunities visit our website.
