Our friends at Poway Valley Garden Club are celebrating Garden Club Week! Next week they are hosting presentations from local Master Gardeners. Richard Restuccia, Dawn Standke, Donna Payton and Farmer Roy Wilburn (“Friend of the MG’s) will share their wisdom, at Old Poway Park next Monday and Tuesday. A crossover School Garden/Community Garden (Monterey Ridge/4S Community Garden) will be featured in an on-site instructional emphasizing unique vertical gardening techniques. And, Rachele Melious from the SD Urban Forest Council, and a certified arborist, will discuss effective fruit tree gardening techniques.

During our 2024-2025 fiscal year, our combined programmatic activities mitigated 95,000 tons of greenhouse gases! We look forward to continuing our work in an effort to live in a world with landfills and oceans free of discarded resources!
