The Rotary Multi District Conference in Chula Vista was centered around the dual themes "Better Together – Better the World" and the global Rotary initiative "Unite for Good." The landmark event marked the first time in years that four distinct Southern California and regional districts (Districts 5300, 5320, 5330, and 5340) combined into a singular, integrated conference.

House in a Day - built in Tijuana, Baja Ca, by the Encinitas Rotary Club and Project Mercy, with help from Interact, on May 2nd. Completed in a record time of 4 hours. A true act of love and compassion to provide a new home for a family that had been 'living' in a shack.

The SDSU Guardian Scholars visit Encinitas Rotary. The(GS) program is a comprehensive support system designed for San Diego State University students who have been in foster care, are wards of the court, are under legal guardianship, or are unaccompanied homeless youth. Managed by the Office of Educational Opportunity Programs, Outreach and Success (EOPOS), it provides the financial, academic, and personal resources necessary to help these students transition into and graduate from the university.

While walking Lake Miramar this morning, we came across a group of goats just waking up. We assumed they were 'working goats' brought in for brush clearance, but once the hay came out, the mystery was solved. No lawn-mowing duties today!
