The holidays are always a little hard on me. I remember Christmas as a child , dancing around the house with my dad and sister. What I would do to have one more Christmas with my dad , one more dance, one more birthday, one more new year. One more hour!
The loss of a loved one is hard to understand. Every celebration, you wish they were there to celebrate with you, every sad moment you wish they were there to hug you. Time goes by but the tears never stop. Happy tears when remembering the good times , sad tears wishing they were here. Wondering what life would have been with them still in it.
I keep a picture of the last day I saw my dad next to my bed with a guardian angel candle I light almost everyday. He may not be here with me in person but he is with me always.
I like to think the reason he passed away was because that was the only way he was going to be able to be always by my side, taking care of me.
He was an amazing dad and friend Loving , caring, kind, fun! And no matter how old I get I’ll always be Daddy’s little girl.
