Buffett Design

This project has been redesigned from the ground up due to the City of Encinitas interpretation of SB9 and the necessity for Right of Way adjustments. Live and learn. The clients stuck with me but the redesign was on my dime. I’ll be learning in my grave. The new concept is fabulous. A family compound with primary unit, duplex and two detached ADU bungalows. Stay tuned to see if this iteration is approved by the clients!

Allowing one wall of the kitchen to open up to back yard made this small footprint home feel more spacious.

Connection to the outdoors is imperative in Southern California coastal residential design. Here, a modest home clad in low maintenance materials, opens itself to the yards and Pacific Ocean beyond.
