On thursday May 14 volunteers from Encinitas CERT assisted the County Care & Shelter with Trailer inventory. OES delivered 12 trailers to the Del Mar Fairgrounds packed with emergency equipment. This equipment was counted, sorted and packed by the CERT volunteers. This inventory count was led by Solana Beach CERT.

Sawday Fire October 2019 Vegetation Fire October 25, 2019 near Old Julian Highway during a Red Flag Warning. The fire burned 97 acres.

Our Story
The Encinitas Community Emergency Response Team (“Encinitas CERT”) is comprised of citizen volunteers who have completed the disaster preparedness academy provided by the Encinitas Fire Department.
The MISSION of Encinitas CERT is to:
(a) educate Encinitas residents about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact the community;
(b) recruit Encinitas residents to become CERT volunteers by enrolling in the disaster preparedness academy provided by the Encinitas Fire Department in order to develop basic disaster response skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations;
