Falling Waters Landscape

Designed in collaboration with our friends THE BROWN STUDIO, this 1100sf ADU in the heart of Carlsbad is now up on our portfolio. The 2bed 2bath custom ADU dovetailed into the existing landscape and echoed the homes existing architecture. There is nothing "prefab" about the space. We built it from scratch.
Projects like this are not the norm for a landscape design + build studio, but we went for it and had our clients confidence throughout (yes we are licensed GC's too). The project was part of a larger landscape revitalization (we'll get more photos as things grow in). Why partner with a primarily landscape company for this type of project? Because the ADU is only part of the equation. How it's sited, interacts with the landscape, main house and way-finding is beyond important. Especially when where we live rewards us daily with unparalleled indoor/outdoor opportunities.

Not everything is about business. We have been quietly working on projects over here at FWL, but also spending a lot of time with family. After doing the initial install a few years back, FWL was pleased to do a refresh this summer over at rated Jeune et Jolie in Carlsbad. Affectionately known as Campfire's baby sister, JJ has become a staple for San Diego's gastro-conscious restaurant goers. Whether celebrating a special occasion or just in the mood for Absinthe and Oysters, Jeune et Jolie will not disappoint.
