The Big Bug Hunt - Garden Pest Warnings The Big Bug Hunt is collecting information about pest behaviour with the aim of notifying gardeners when pests are heading their way.

Brown marmorated stink bugs will start responding to aggregation pheromone when daylight lengthens to 13.5 hours. This is one of the control methods being pursued by the United States Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service. In our region, daylight will be at 13.5 hours around April 19th! So soon! We may have to try a field study ourselves.
