Column: Pritzker’s COVID-19 shutdown and the death of those great independent restaurants we love The coronavirus shutdown could kill independent restaurants in Chicago, and make it look like every other chain-eatery town.

This is their way of protesting! Protests are ok.

The Dictator wants all these small businesses to shut down and not get any financial support! Employees can't get through to unemployment and the PPP and other programs are completely broken and only favor the well connected. If the state didn't hold up it's end when we were initially shut down in March, why would we get burned again by shutting down?
