2 years, thousands of miles, and apparently I still haven’t figured out how to keep my eyes open in pictures. Luckily, I married someone so gorgeous she makes up for it! Cheers to many more adventures

French Cuts Turns 3 Today ✂️

Three years ago, I took a leap and opened French Cuts—not knowing exactly where the road would lead, but driven by passion and a belief in offering something real.

It hasn’t always been easy. I’ve faced challenges, slow days, doubts—but I’ve also had the chance to meet incredible people, earn your trust, and do what I love, one haircut at a time.

Some of you started as clients and became friends. That means more to me than you know.

I’m still here, still pushing, still grateful. Every client who walks through that door means something to me. Your support—whether it’s a visit, a kind word, or a referral—has kept this place alive.

Thank you for sticking with me these past 3 years. It may be a small shop, but it’s built on something solid: pride, persistence, and a whole lot of heart.

Here’s to the journey so far—and whatever’s next.

Hey everyone! Just a heads up that I’ll be out of the shop from July 29th to August 8th for a family vacation. In the meantime, Alan will be here to take care of you. Feel free to book with him; he’ll do a great job!

We’re excited to announce that Alan, who has been with us as an apprentice, has graduated from barber school and passed his Illinois State Board License! He’s now a fully licensed barber and will be available full-time, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM. We have plenty of spots available for haircuts, so book your appointment online today! Congrats, Alan!

Alan, our apprentice, will be out of the shop on June 12 and 13 as he finishes his last week of barber school and takes his state board exam.

Let’s wish him the best of luck! When he returns, he’ll officially be a full-time licensed barber. Big milestone ahead — we’re proud of him!

PRICE UPDATE – JULY 1st, 2025

Starting July 1st, all of Julien’s services will see a price increase.
For example, the regular haircut will go from $40 to $45.

This update applies only to Julien. Prices for our other barbers remain the same.

Dear friends,

I wanted to share a quick update—French Cuts will be closed on Friday, February 28, and Saturday, March 1 as I will be out of town.

Additionally, starting in March, Saturday hours will be changing to 8 AM - 12 PM. If you already have an appointment outside these new hours, rest assured it will still be honored.
