ATS Advanced Tactical Solutions

A special thank you to the conference organizers who attended our session and sent us these photos of our two ATS trainers. We appreciate you capturing the instruction and sharing these with us.

These are a few moments from yesterday’s fantastic training session at the IALEFI Conference, where ATS taught the Center Axis Relock (C.A.R.) combat pistol fighting system to numerous law enforcement fi****ms instructors.

Our class included representatives from law enforcement agencies across 11 states and Puerto Rico. It was a privilege to work with instructors who brought different experiences, thoughtful questions, and a shared commitment to continued learning.

Many photos and videos from the class are coming soon, featuring the participants who helped make it such a rewarding day.

Sheriff Lamb and National Border Patrol Council VP, Art Del Cueto. These American Patriots need no introduction. Looking forward to collaborating with them for fi****ms training with law enforcement officers in Tennessee and Arizona, in the near future. An honor to meet these gentlemen.

Day 2: Range Day, Industry Connections, and Fellow Instructors

Today’s was exclusively for law enforcement trainers to meet vendors, test equipment, and enjoy time on the range. We fired a few hundred rounds through .223/AR-15 platforms, .308 ri**es, suppressor-equipped fi****ms, and several G***k Gen 6 models. Vendors provided the equipment and am******on at no cost. Additionally, we visited the repelling and training tower along with the Range shoot-house.

ATS also worked out arrangements with target manufacturers to supply our agency with professional and custom training targets for future classes.

A highlight was connecting with fellow fi****ms and law enforcement instructors from California to Florida, Minnesota to Texas. We shared stories, compared equipment, talked teaching methods, and enjoyed a great day together.

Tomorrow, we’re back to classroom sessions, academic coursework, and preparing for range classes.

These photos capture today’s vendors, equipment, ranges, and the people who made it worthwhile. Thank you to the manufacturers, range staff, and fellow instructors for a fantastic day.

Day 1 in the books at the IALEFI law enforcement training conference in Palm Bay, Florida

I'll be representing ATS/FPRG as an instructor at the 2026 IALEFI Annual Training Conference in Palm Bay, Florida.

On September 30, I'll be teaching Center Axis Relock (C.A.R.) to law enforcement fi****ms instructors.

Looking forward to sharing experience and working with fellow trainers who help prepare officers for the demands of their job.

****mstraining

Today’s ATS Tier 3 class brought beginners and intermediate shooters together for 8 hours of education and supervised range training.

Students spent 5 hours in the classroom and 3 hours on the range, connecting the responsibilities of concealed carry with practical fi***rm handling.

Our Tier 3 curriculum covers:

• Legal, moral, and ethical responsibilities of carrying a fi***rm.
• Situational awareness and responsible decision-making.
• Safe handling, holster use, and fi***rm fundamentals.
• Malfunction management and progressive range exercises.

The photos show the hands-on portion of that education. Behind each exercise is a larger purpose: understanding your equipment, recognizing your limitations, and learning to make sound decisions.

Owning a handgun carries responsibilities that target practice alone cannot address. Knowing the law, handling a fi***rm safely, and understanding when to avoid or disengage from a situation all deserve continued attention.

Thank you to everyone who spent the day training with us.

Carrying a handgun does not make you prepared.

A monthly range visit cannot replace situational awareness, sound judgment, legal knowledge, and training that challenges your decisions.

In my latest article, I examine the false confidence that can come with carrying a fi***rm and the responsibilities every armed citizen and instructor should take seriously.

Before you trust yourself to act under pressure, consider how you've prepared to make that decision.

Carrying a Handgun Does Not Make You Prepared The sentence that concerns me most in a conversation about concealed carry is simple: “If something happens, I have my gun.” That statement tells me what someone owns.
